Why we're working with Jacksonville

More Options. More Protection. Better Value.

Combined Insurance is working with the City of Jacksonville to bring employees customized supplemental benefits designed to help provide financial protection when unexpected illnesses, injuries, or hospital stays occur. Our goal is simple: help employees access meaningful supplemental benefits at competitive rates while identifying opportunities to save money without sacrificing important coverage.

Guaranteed-Issue Coverage

Through the employee benefits program, certain policies offer guaranteed-issue coverage up to specified amounts — a valuable opportunity for employees with previous health conditions to obtain coverage without traditional medical underwriting. Policy exclusions and pre-existing condition limitations still apply.

Short-Term Disability from Day 1

For qualifying hospitalization or outpatient surgery, the standard waiting period can be waived, so benefits can begin on Day 1.

Portable Benefits

Your supplemental benefits are designed to stay with you if you leave or retire from the City of Jacksonville. Exact terms and rate provisions are governed by each policy.

Benefits Paid Directly to You

For qualifying covered claims, benefits are paid directly to you or your designated beneficiary, as applicable — use the money for everyday expenses, household bills, or whatever you need.

Personal benefits review

Let Us Help You Get More From Your Benefits

We will have information about employees' current supplemental benefit options and will be happy to review them together. During open enrollment, our representatives can provide personalized side-by-side comparisons of existing coverage and Combined's available benefits.

We'll review what you're paying, what you're receiving, and whether there are opportunities to improve coverage or reduce costs — so you can find the right balance between quality protection and affordability.
